About the Conference
Rhode Island Campus Compact, in collaboration with Connecticut Campus Compact (CTCC) and Central Connecticut State University (CCSU), our member campuses and strategic community partners, will hold the third annual student leadership conference on Saturday, November 5, 2016at Central Connecticut State University. The 2016 Student Leadership Conference theme of We the Students: Linking Identity, Community and Social Change is designed to provide a framework where students examine their motivations for civic engagement social justice and service, enhance their understanding of social issues, and increase their capacity and skills to positively impact their campus and community.
About the Workshop Sessions
The conference planning committee seeks proposals for 60-75 minute interactive workshop sessions.
Students, campus representatives and community partners are invited to present sessions that:
– improve student leadership skills
– share best practices of engagement programs and projects
– deepen attendees understanding and commitment to the importance of social justice
Proposals are due by midnight on September 18. 2016.
