|Brown University: BRYTE Summer Camp
Two VISTA Summer Associate members will take part in one week of training and six weeks of teaching and camper oversight at BRYTE Summer Camp, an academic enrichment program for refugee youth, and will be working to facilitate English language acquisition and prevent summer learning loss.

|Smith Hill CDC: YouthRAP
One VISTA Summer Associate will help create and implement the YouthRAP summer Teen Employment program, which is community based and focuses on the teens in the Smith Hill area of Providence. The second Associate will help the YouthRAP Coordinator with the implementation of nutrition into the daily summer programming with the younger youth in the neighborhood.

|The Learning Community
VISTA Summer Associates will expand The Learning Community’s summer academic and enrichment programming by providing a second person in the classrooms allowing TLC to offer academic assistance to more students. Members will then transition into supporting afternoon enrichment activities for students.

AmeriCorps*VISTA Summer Associate Positions Available
RI Campus Compact Summer Associates serve for approximately 10 weeks over the summer with RICC’s non-profit community partners in low-income communities to prevent student summer learning loss. VISTA Summer Associates receive a small living allowance (approximately $950 per month) and have a choice between a minimum time education award ($1,174.60) or a cash stipend which accrues at $125/month.
