As part of her work at Rhode Island College, Rebecca planned a Taste of Service event. The event, held on April 23, highlighted AmeriCorps and other service opportunities students can participate in while attending school or after they graduate. Participating organizations included Rhode Island Campus Compact, PASA, PeaceCorps, City Year, Generation Citizen and the RI Center for Law & Public Policy, among others. The event was a success as it was one of the first community service fairs at RIC to highlight AmeriCorps programs in recent years.
