We are very excited to have Suzy Alba begin with us this week as our new part time temporary program associate! She will be working with Mary Alice and Kerry on multiple projects, including SFS, and helping us out with office administration. She will be working with us on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday and can be reached on our main line or at email@example.com.
Suzy joins us from Brown University where she was an Assistant Director of Annual Giving in the Advancement Division. Prior to her position at Brown, Suzy held positions at Leadership Rhode Island and the United Way of Rhode Island (UWRI), where she was the co-founder of the UWRI Young Leaders Circle. Suzy was elected to the Smithfield Town Council in November 2012. A lifelong Rhode Islander, Suzy received her undergraduate degree from Rhode Island College where she served as President of her class. She is currently an adjunct professor in the communications department at Rhode Island College and is completing a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Roger Williams University.
Suzy is inspired by the partnerships between the RICC and the state’s college and universities, K-12 schools, and community organizations across the state and is amazed to see the impact that has been made by RICC since she served as an AmeriCorps VISTA at Roger Williams University in 2005-2006. She is excited to re-engage with the RICC and work closely with the member institutions and community organizations to help continue to strengthen these partnerships and ensure that RI continues to be a civic and service minded community.
